Republic Floor Enhance Warranty

1. Warranty Coverage Overview

Republic Floor warrants that its SPC products are:

  • Free from manufacturing defects, including delamination, dimensional instability, or core failure (Residential Resilient Limited Warranty).
  • Protected against wear-through of the decorative layer under normal residential and light commercial use.
  • 100% waterproof for topical spills and everyday household moisture.
  • Resistant to staining from domestic pets (urine, feces, vomit) when cleaned promptly.

All Flooring must be installed and maintained in accordance with Republic Floor's installation and care guides to remain eligible for warranty claims.

2. Claim Eligibility Requirements

  • Applies only to original purchaser and first installed location.
  • All flooring must be carefully inspected prior to installation. Installation constitutes acceptance of the product.
  • A defect tolerance of up to 5% of the total material is permitted for visual inconsistencies, color variation, or minor imperfections in accordance with industry standards.
  • Claims for visual or manufacturing defects will not be honored after installation.
  • Proof of purchase must be submitted with claim.
  • Warranty is non-transferable.
  • Claims must show dime-sized visible wear to the pattern layer.
  • Product must be inspected prior to installation; installed product is deemed accepted.
  • All warranty claims are pro-rated based on the time since installation.

3. What is covered

  • Manufactured Defects: Core voids, delamination, dimensional stability issues exceeding ASTM F2199.
  • Wear Protection: Finish wear-through under normal traffic and care.
  • Waterproofing: Protection from spills and household moisture when cleaned promptly.
  • Pet Stain Resistance: Domestic dog/cat urine, feces, vomit -cleaned immediately.

A. Wheelchairs & Rolling Chairs

  • Manuel and Electric wheels chairs with standard Soft Runners wheels are permitted.
  • Rolling Chairs must use non-abrasive, soft casters (Type W or Type U) designed for hard surface flooring.
  • A protective chair mat is required on high use desk areas to reduce surface wear.
  • Warranty does not cover damage from metal wheels, hard plastic, casters, or point of load exceeding residential specifications.
  • Republic Floors are designed for durability under normal residential and light commercial conditions. When used in environments with wheels.

4. Exclusions (What Is Not Covered)

This warranty excludes:

  • Failure to inspect the flooring for visual defects prior to installation. A maximum of 5% material defect tolerance (including visual defects, color variation, and dimension is allowed per industry standards.
  • Use of non-approved cleaning chemicals or maintenance products, including bleach, ammonia, vinegar-based solutions, wax, oil, soaps, or acrylic polish.
  • Subfloor conditions with high moisture levels exceeding manufacturer limits.
  • Moisture intrusion from leaks, ground vapor, or unmitigated site conditions.
  • Damage from improper installation or unauthorized installers.
  • Surface wear not visible from standing position in normal lighting.
  • Moisture damage from floors, hydrostatic pressure, or plumbing leaks.
  • Use of abrasive cleaners, steam mops, or hard-bristle vacuums.
  • Pet damage other than from urine/feces/vomit (e.g., scratching, chewing).
  • Rolling loads, heavy furniture without protectors, pinch points.
  • High heel dents, sharp object impacts.
  • Changes in appearance due to aging, sunlight, UV exposure.
  • Squeaking, popping, or structural noise form uneven subfloors.
  • Labor or removal/replacement costs unless within 2 years and installed professionally.

Installations with:

  • Insufficient expansion spacing.
  • No 6 mil moisture barrier over concrete.
  • Additional padding under pre-attached pad.

5. Maintenance Obligations

To retain warranty coverage:

  • Clean with PH-neutral floor cleaner (e.g.,Simple Green) Vacuum with soft-brush or felt head only.
  • Avoid rubber-or latex-backed rugs.
  • Add felt pads under all furniture.
  • Use non-staining glides or cups under heavy objects.
  • Protect from excessive heat/sunlight with window treatments.
  • Maintain indoor RH between 35-75%.

6. How to File a Claim

1. Document the issue with photos and purchase receipt.

2. Contact the original dealer or Republic Floor directly.

3. Provide site details, product name/SKU, and installation method.

4. Allow Republic Floor or its agent to inspect and confirm the issue.

If eligible:

  • Republic Floor may issue material replacement or refund (pro-rated).
  • Labor maybe be reimbursed only within 2 years or purchase and if installed by licensed professionals (Residential Resilient Limited Warranty).

7. Legal Statement

This warranty is limited to the remedies listed above. No installer, dealer, retailers, or distributor has the authority to alter the terms.

Limitations of Liability: Republic Floor shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from any product defect.

Implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this written warranty, except where prohibited by law.

8. Section 9- Depreciation Table

  • Year 1: 100% coverage
  • Year 2 : 90% coverage
  • Year 3: 80% coverage
  • Year 4: 70% coverage
  • Year 5: 60% coverage
  • Year 6: 50% coverage
  • Year 7: 40% coverage
  • Year 8: 30% coverage
  • Year 9: 20% coverage
  • Year 10+: 10% coverage until end of warranty term.
