Republic Floor Limited Residential Warranty
Applies to Non-Waterproof, Non-SHARC Laminate Collections
1. Warranty Coverage
Republic Floor provides a limited warranty to the original purchaser for use in indoor residential environments, under proper installation and maintenance conditions.
- Manufacturing Defects: The product will be free from visual and structural defects. Any visible defect must be reported prior to installation.
- Wear Resistance: The wear layer will not wear through to the decorative layer under normal household conditions.
- Fade Resistance: Will not significantly fade due to exposure to indoor lighting or indirect sunlight.
- Stain Resistance: The surface will resist common household stains.
- Locking System: The locking mechanism will remain secure when installed per guidelines.
2. Warranty Limitations & Exclusions
This limited warranty includes the following exclusions and does not cover:
A. Moisture & Environmental Conditions
- Excessive moisture from concrete subfloors, including vapor transmission without a proper vapor barrier.
- Moisture intrusion due to uncovered or improperly seals raised foundation soil (crawlspaces).
- Standing water, flooring, or hydrostatic pressure.
- Failure to maintain indoor relative humidity between 35-65%.
- Use in unconditional spaces such as garages, sunrooms, or non-HVAC controlled basements.
- Mold or mildew due to excessive or trapped moisture.
B. Installation & Product Use
- Improper site preparation, subfloor flatness, moisture content, or lack expansion space.
- Installation over substrates that are uneven, structurally unsound, or non-compliant.
- Damage from heavy furniture, sharp objects, dragging, or high heels.
- Pet-related accidents (urine, vomit, feces)
- Noise issues such as squeaking, popping, or crackling.
- Color, gloss, or texture variation from sample boards or add-on material.
- Damage due to abnormal wear, abuse neglect, or accidents.
C. Wheelchairs & Rolling Chairs
- Republic laminate floors are designed for durability under normal residential and light commercial conditions. When used in environments with wheels chairs or rolling office chairs, the following conditions apply:
- Manual and Electric wheel chairs with standard Soft Runners wheels are permitted.
- Rolling Chairs must use non-abrasive, soft casters (Type W or Type U) designed for hard surface flooring.
- A protective chair mat is required on high use desk areas to reduce surface wear.
- Warranty does not cover damage from metal wheels, hard plastic casters, or point of load exceeding residential specifications.
3. Conditions for Warranty Validity
To remain eligible for warranty coverage:
- Flooring must be installed in climate-controlled indoor spaces (60-85 degrees Fahrenheit, 35-65% RH)
- Installation and maintenance must follow Republic Floor guidelines.
Subfloor moisture testing must meet all pre-installation requirements:
- Concrete: Less than or equal to 4% with moisture meter OR less than or equal 5lbs/1000 sqft/24hrs (ASTM F1869)
- Wood: Less than or equal 4% with moisture content.
4. Claim Procedure
To file a claim, contact your original Republic-authorized retailer or installer.
You must provide:
- Proof of purchase (dated sales receipt).
- Description of the issue with photographs.
- Installation details and conditions.
If a valid claim approved, Republic Floor will:
- Replace the defective product with comparable material form current inventory, or
- Issue a prorated credit based on the remaining warranty period.
Labor reimbursement is available only for professionally installed products and within the first 2 years.
5. Term & Coverage Scope
- This warranty applies only to the original end-user purchaser.
- Warranty is non-transferable.
- Coverage term is specified at the time of purchase; typical range: 10-30 years for residential use.

Depreciation Schedule:
- Year 1: 100% coverage
- Year 2: 90% coverage
- Year 3: 80% coverage
- Year 4: 70% coverage
- Year 5: 60% coverage
- Year 6: 50% coverage
- Year 7: 40% coverage
- Year 8: 30% coverage
- Year 9: 20% coverage
- Year 10+: 10% coverage until end of warranty term.
Replacement products may vary slightly in color, texture, or gloss from the original due to normal manufacturing variations and aging.
